Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
(As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata)
Fixed term from September 2024 - July 2025

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.

Mark Cross CEA Primary School is a small village school, just to the south of Tunbridge Wells, with a strong sense of community and a friendly, welcoming staff team.

We have a vacancy for a part-time Individual Needs Assistant (INA) from September 2024 to work in our Reception class. Precise hours and working pattern to be confirmed but we expect this to be for 15 hours per week.

The successful candidate will:

Be patient, calm and truly listen to and value children’s views. Be kind and have a desire to support pupils. Demonstrate versatility and flexibility. Be able to maintain confidentiality. Be able to communicate effectively with children and colleagues. Preferably have experience of working with children with SEND.

Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Curriculum and Makaton would be beneficial but not essential.
