Position: Senior Sous Chef and Chef de PartieEmployment Type: Permanent, Annualised Hours (2,080 hours per annum)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and passionate Senior Sous Chef and talented Chef de Partie to join our team at a prestigious four star hotel. The successful candidates will become a key players contributing to our esteemed culinary offerings.
Role Overview:As a Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef and team to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards and delivering exceptional food quality. Evening and weekend work is required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and team to maintain a consistent and high-quality food offering.
  • Assist in menu and dish development.
  • Oversee or work within daily kitchen operations.
  • Control the hot plate/pass during peak service hours.
  • Uphold high culinary standards.
  • Manage food purchasing, storage, and inventory.
  • Ensure all food items meet our specification standards.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Contribute to making the restaurant a notable local dining destination.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise and train junior team members, identifying training needs.
  • Assist in controlling labour costs and managing staff absences.
  • Proactively control food stock to minimize wastage and maximize profit.
  • Assist with monthly stock takes.
Qualifications:
  • 14-19 Catering Diploma; or
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 3 Professional Cookery; or
  • Significant trade experience with references.
