Duration: 35 weeks
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Salary: £35,000 per annum (pro-rata)



Role Overview

As an SEN Science Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the school's learning support centre, a safe and quiet space designed to nurture students with special educational needs


You will work with pupils who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) on a one-to-one, one-to-two, or small group basis, tailoring your approach to meet individual learning needs

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and accessible science lessons to students with special educational needsAdapt the curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilitiesProvide individualized support to students with EHCPsCollaborate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student developmentMonitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate recordsContribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Qualifications and Skills

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in ScienceExperience teaching students with special educational needsStrong knowledge of the science curriculum and SEN teaching strategiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPatience, empathy, and a passion for inclusive educationAbility to create a positive and supportive learning environmentRight to work in the UK
