The Role


As a Primary Teacher in our Secondary SEMH School, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across a range of subjects to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters emotional and academic growth.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students, focusing on both their academic and emotional development.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to support students in overcoming barriers to learning.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of educators and support staff to provide holistic support to our students.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, implementing interventions where necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices in SEMH education and primary teaching strategies.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching at the primary level, with a strong understanding of primary education pedagogy.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
