We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, dynamic individuals to join our team who will have a keen interest in putting patients first and ensuring each patient receives the best care when visiting our Diagnostics Centre.

About you

As a member of the Healthcare team in this role you will support and work closely with registered practitioners and other members of the multi-disciplinary team in order:


  • To deliver a high standard of care to patients in a safe and supportive environment without the need for direct supervision;
  • To work as part of the wider team in developing and maintaining services provided to patients and contribute to the safe, efficient and smooth running of the Oxford CDC. This will be undertaken whilst maintaining the dignity and privacy of all patients and respect their right to confidentiality;
  • To complete and maintain, on an ongoing basis, a generic and specific portfolio of clinical competencies and/or Care Certificate as required;
  • Demonstrate awareness of the Richard’s report published on NHS England; “Diagnostics: Recovery and Renewal – Report of the Independent Review of Diagnostic Services for NHS England”.

Day to day your duties will include:


  • Preparing patients, equipment and the environment for clinical activities whilst supporting and reassuring our patients;
  • Closely monitoring patients, who have undergone clinical procedures, ensuring their safety, comfort and wellbeing;
  • Demonstrate clinical competence in order to carry out minor dressings and assisting with other minor procedures as specified. Training will be provided where needed;
  • Proactively engage in training requirements as new services emerge;
  • Perform phlebotomy.

To be successful in this role you will have evidence of a level 2 diploma or apprenticeship in a health-related subject or willing to work towards. You will be empathetic and take pride in your work. You will be an excellent team player as well as effectively work autonomously. You will be an excellent communicator both written and verbally, and have patience when dealing with members of the public. You will be IT literate, have excellent attention to detail and demonstrate understanding of confidentiality. Above all you will be reliable, professional and a real asset to the team through continuous drive and improvement.

This is a full time role where shifts will be up to 12 hours across 7 days a week (7:30 am-7:30pm), based in the Oxford Business park in Cowley with free parking.
