The Role

The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same. Your main aim will be supporting with the day to day needs of the ladies we support, this involves shopping, finances, cooking, housework, personal care and medication.

All of the ladies enjoy an active and social life, so you'll find yourself getting involved in dance classes, going to the theatre, karaoke, horse riding and out for day trips in their cars. They also enjoy going on holiday and activities in their home too, especially knitting.

The ladies we support do have their own mobility cars and love to get out and about in them, so we will need you to have a full driving license with at least a years' driving experience for insurance purposes.

About you

You don't need experience in care as a Support Worker to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and will even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too

All we’ll need you to bring is: -

A full driving license with at least one years' driving experience Good listening and communication skills A caring attitude and approach Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity A positive approach to learning Good team working skills along with the ability to work on your own initiative Confidence in the use of computers

Shift Patterns

We're dedicated to providing around the clock support that is tailored to the needs of each individual, so shift patterns will include early mornings, days and evenings. Weekends, public holidays, waking nights and sleepovers would also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

The sleepover part of your shift isn't included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional payment of £96 for every sleepover you work. Waking nights are paid at your normal hourly rate plus £20 per night.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
