Taunton Deane Partnership College (TDPC) is one of four Pupil Referral Units commissioned by Somerset Council and Somerset schools, covering Taunton, Wellington and Wiveliscombe. We work alongside students (5-16 years) in several ways: those who have an EHCP naming us as their school; students with medical needs that inhibits their access to mainstream settings; those who have been permanently excluded from their mainstream school and in partnership with schools through our Centres and in Outreach.

We are looking for an outstanding SEMH teacher to work within our school. This post will largely be based in our secondary setting and will have an oversight of our vocational spaces and curriculum delivery in these areas. We are fortunate to have a fully equipped DT workshop and teaching kitchen. The successful candidate will be delivering a curriculum tailored to our students though a blend of pathways. All of our students have SEMH needs and, as such, require a relational approach to learning. 

For us, this role is about the person and their ability to relate to our students therefore we welcome applications from colleagues across key stages, in mainstream schools, special schools and alternative provisions.

We will request to meet and observe shortlisted candidates in their current settings prior to interview.
