Senior Indirect Tax Analyst

Job Description

As the Senior Indirect Tax Analyst, you will be reporting to the Senior Indirect Tax Manager to manage indirect taxes for agreed key geographies and assist with global indirect tax projects. You will be working with two other Senior Indirect Tax Analysts and part of the wider Group Tax team.

This role is key to ensure that:

Indirect Tax compliance obligations are completed accurately and within the required deadlines.

Business decisions are informed from an Indirect tax perspective.

Key stakeholders are knowledgeable and engaged on Indirect tax.

Key Responsibilities

What You Will Do:
- Manage the indirect tax compliance process for assigned European geographies (currently France, Portugal & Ireland), including preparation, reconciliation and submission of returns/payments within the required deadlines.

- You will work with professional advisors and review/reconcile US sales data to ensure timely and accurate submission of sales tax returns. You'll take ownership of assigned geographies, assisting with tax/internal audits, building relationships with local finance teams and developing technical indirect tax knowledge.

- The team work collaboratively to carry out data reviews and manage US inbox queries and works with the Senior Indirect Tax Manager to provide responses to indirect queries including billing, tax code, supply chain, registration issues.

- You will be assisting with project work by providing data reports, country specific insights and showing risk awareness for wider group projects e.g. M&A, integrations, transformations.

- You'll proactively seek opportunities to simplify/automate compliance processes and improve data quality and ensure compliance with internal control framework, retaining relevant evidence of review and ensuring appropriate sign off.
