What's the role?

This is a great opportunity to join our Operations team to support the development of our new Flex Operations team, responsible for delivery of highly effective and efficient operational process to support customers on flexible supply agreements.

Reporting into the Flex Operations Manager, you will be responsible for delivery of flex customers operational requirements including billing, managing operational customer journeys and supporting the Flex Sales Account Manager to manage all operational customer requirements. The role requires a detailed understanding of Flex Customer operational requirements, an ability to work independently and support the develop of new processes to support Flex Customers.

The role supports our business' aim to deliver great customer outcomes by providing personalised service to customers and brokers; and to drive cost competitiveness through operational excellence and continual improvement in operations processes.

You will get the opportunity to join a new business line and support by establishing operational processes for a critical part of our UK business.

More specific responsibilities include:
  • Deliver Flex customer journeys working with the Flex Operations manager to support communications with customers (e.g. process new flex customer registrations, process renewals and other contract changes)
  • Prepare accurate and timely invoices for flex customers (including calculation of accurate Flex Supply cost and application of industry charges)
  • Support with analysis and diagnostics to address customer queries, requests and complaints
  • Deliver operational requirements within Flex Customer SLAs
  • Assist with the production and explanation of energy budgets for customers
  • Develop customer account reconciliations including Pass-Through and Flex billing reconciliations
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of the most recent Gas and Electricity market movements to enhance analysis and analytical reports provided to customers
  • Support compliance audits and billing assurance activities
  • Maintain high quality records, databases and files
  • Support the Flex Operations manager to identify any inefficiencies within the current processes and systems and suggest ideas for improvements
  • Maintain regulatory compliance (e.g. Ofgem, Elexon)
  • Adhere to group quality standards focused on creating operational excellence

What we need from you
  • Significant experience in servicing flexible energy contracts
  • Experience working with Junifer for operational delivery to Flex customers (ideal)
  • Commercial awareness including analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic and driven, able to achieve deadlines
