Job description

You�ll join a close-knit team at the heart of one DWP�s highest priority transformation projects � the Health Transformation programme. Working with huge datasets (quite possibly the largest on offer in the UK), you�ll be delivering benefits that positively impact millions of UK citizens.

You will be instrumental in enabling the service to be managed and measured. To do this, you�ll create dimensional models from a combination of microservices that make up a single customer journey.

Our production environment is currently on-prem, but the direction of travel is cloud engineering, and you�ll be executing code across the following tech stack: Azure, Databricks, PySpark and Pandas.

Person specification

When giving details in your employment history you should highlight your experience in line with essential criteria below:

� Commercial experience of Databricks, PySpark and Pandas.

� Commercial experience of Azure data engineering tools such as Azure Data Factory, dedicated SQL pools and ADSL Gen 2.

� Experience of working with data lakes.

� An understanding of dimensional modelling.

Salary Information

Pay for this role in London is from �40,912 to �41,567.

Pay for this role in National locations is from �35,711 to �36,545.

The maximum salary for the grade is �36,545, however a Digital Allowance of up to �3,000 per annum is available for exceptional candidates, based on our assessment of your skills and experience.

Our offer to successful candidates will be based on an assessment of your skills and experience as demonstrated at interview.

Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer should maintain their current salary.

Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion may move to the bottom of the next grade pay scale or 10% increase in salary whichever would be the greater.
