Salary: £35, - £43, per annum pro rata, dependent on experience

West Lothian College is looking to expand its register of bank Lecturers. Working within the friendly and knowledgeable team within the Care, Health and Sport faculty, you will be committed to the delivery of high-quality teaching and a varied learning experience, focusing on progression and employability.

We are looking for individuals who are able to be flexible on a fixed term ‘as and when’ basis for the next academic year, commencing August . Core college working hours, which cover may be required, are Monday to Friday 8:30am–4:30pm. On this occasion, however we are looking for bank staff who are available to deliver evening classes on a Tuesday and Thursday. We are requesting bank staff with availability to work during these times. Further details about West Lothian College’s staff bank can be found attached to this advert. 

Applications are invited for the position of COSCA Lecturer to contribute to the delivery of the COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate at Level 8. This course is delivered in person two evenings a week and you will be expected to work flexibly and collaborate effectively with other members of the college. 

Applicants should have a degree or appropriate professional qualification in their specialist field, and evidence of current counselling practice work experience in an appropriate setting. Applicants should also be a COSCA Accredited Trainer. A teaching qualification and lecturing experience within a college setting is preferable.

Candidates that have been selected for an interview will be required to deliver a 10 minute presentation and undertake a value and competency-based interview.
