Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people, and families?

Includem is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Family Wellbeing Support Worker to join our team within selected GP practices across Glasgow. This role is part of a multi-agency approach, providing tailored support to children, young people, and parents/carers in a family-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed manner. Working closely with families, you’ll help increase resilience, strengthen family relationships, and improve health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

Build trusting, non-judgemental relationships with families, helping them to identify goals and strengthen positive family dynamics. Conduct assessments and provide support using approaches like the Solihull model and restorative practices, recognizing and affirming families’ unique strengths and needs. Deliver flexible, tailored support to meet the individual needs of children, young people, and families, collaborating closely with other services as part of a “team around the family” approach. Work in partnership with community resources and local organizations to support lasting positive change within families and remove barriers to accessing services. Identify, manage, and respond to any risks, including safeguarding concerns, using sound professional judgment and decision-making. Actively empower families to communicate effectively, advocate for their needs, and take pride in their progress and achievements.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children, young people, and families facing challenging life circumstances in individual, family, or group settings. Skills in multi-disciplinary, multi-agency collaboration and an understanding of the impact of trauma and adversity on families. A strengths-based, resilience-oriented approach to empower families to find solutions, adapt, and thrive. Professional resilience, sensitivity to challenging situations, and the ability to maintain open, supportive relationships. Strong planning and organizational skills, with the flexibility to respond to families’ needs as they evolve. Relevant qualification (SCQF Level 7/HNC or above) and the ability to work towards SCQF Level 8. Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Why Join Us?

This is a unique opportunity to work within a supportive, multi-disciplinary team where you’ll make a significant difference in the lives of families. With a commitment to professional growth, reflective practice, and community engagement, we support our team members to develop, learn, and impact those we serve positively.
