We at Major Recruitment are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to work with one of clients based in Feltham.


The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our clients Logistics. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the logistics industry and a proven track record of generating new business. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, strong networking abilities, and a passion for exceeding targets.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the client base.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold calling.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic planning.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and business development performance.
  • Develop and maintain professional customer relationships to improve the flow of communication, mutual understanding, and loyalty to the business.
  • Ownership of annual sales targets.
  • Drive new business and support maintenance and growth of existing business.


Essential Requirements:




  • Ability to create long term strategic relationships with new customers.
  • Ability to identify customer need and manage its development.
  • Ability to develop and manage positive and productive internal and external customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication / presentation / negotiation skills.
  • Being able to communicate at all levels of an organisation, both internally and customer facing.
  • Commercial acumen
  • 3 + years senior industry relevant experience in a sales/senior sales role
  • Experience of managing both new business generation and organic growth through sales and account management models
  • Proactive, creative, and dynamic approach
  • Sense of ownership
  • Professional style and manner
