Job Description

This is a part-time post the salary will be pro-rata'd to the hours worked.

To provide a first line contact for internal and external customs and contractors, and support services & management team based at 16 Church Street and contribute towards achieving the objectives of the Asset Management team.

Provide efficient and effective caretaking and maintenance support to 16 Church Street, MunicipalBuildings and other Civic Buildings as required, ensuring the security and general appearance of the building and surrounding area are maintained in accordance with the required standards. Providing an effective response to customer queries and complaints where applicable from a wide range of people from both inside and outside the organisation

Maintain appropriate records including alarm logbook, repair logs, accident book and contractors log book etc. Manage security passes and keys throughout building(s) ensuring staff adhere to the security protocol of the building. Comply with the requirements of Health and Safety, other relevant legislation and policies. Carry out weekly fire alarm tests, and assist with evacuation procedures.

Ensure the safe transport of Provost and other elected members to and from civic events and support official civic functions, representing WDC. Undertake a range of official council and civic duties in a professional manner, ensuring that high quality standards are observed and maintained at all times. Make short public announcements and carry official items during high profile public events.This is a part time post and the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked.
