An opportunity has arisen for a ‘Youth Support Worker DofE’ within Nottinghamshire County Councils Awards Team, based at the Mill Adventure Base, Kings Mill Reservoir, Sherwood way South, Sutton in Ashfield. NG17 4PA


The Mill Adventure Base is a well-regarded outdoor education centre and is the base from which Nottinghamshire County Councils awards provision is managed.
The post has a requirement of 6 hours a week term time only. The post involves remote working from home and evening and weekends sessions as required. Hours will vary, dependant on the time of year. The post will focus on promoting and delivering awards for young people within the catchment area of The Mill Adventure Base. This will involve administrative duties using online systems, co-ordinating volunteers, communications with parents and session delivery to young people. There is a travel expenses allowance together with access to relevant training through our bursary scheme.
Experience of working within an education setting with staff and young people together with practical knowledge and relevant experience of the DofE award scheme is essential.
