Job Advert

Temporary opportunities have arisen for full-time Resource Co-ordinators within our Care & Support at Home Service for a period of 6 months; after which time posts will be reviewed in line with the Home Care Re-design.

As a Resource Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of care staff allocations and the planned schedule of work for operations, managed via the operations management and rostering system that is used across the Care & Support at Home Service.

This post will work with managers across all Home Care Locality Teams to ensure that the right staff resources are allocated effectively within the schedules, in order to meet the planned needs of our service users. The Resource Co-ordinator is responsible for the data integrity of the schedules within the rostering/monitoring systems.

The post will support the Care & Support at Home operational management in ensuring effective delivery of services by efficient allocation and cost-effective management of staff resources.

You must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels taking into account the variety of complex, contentious and sensitive situations that occur both internal and external to the organisation. You must have the ability to prioritise your workload and work without constant supervision, and in addition, work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

Due to the nature of the post, it is essential that you are familiar with, and are competent in computer IT systems including Word and Excel packages. In addition, the service currently operates a Real Time Monitoring Scheduling System (CM) in which you would receive full training.

You are required to commit to a rostered shift working pattern including evenings, weekends and public holidays which consists of 14 days worked over a 21-day period.

The contracted hours of the post are 37 hours per week, but these will be averaged over a 3-week roster period with the current shift times being Early - - 6.30am until 2.56pm and Back - 2.34pm until 11pm (both shifts include 30-minute unpaid breaks).

The post may require short periods of lone working.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to carry out a Disclosure Scotland check.

For further information on these posts, please contact Team Manager Lana Ray on .
