Salary:£41,496.00 per annum plus Veolia benefits and pension

Hours:Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. 07:30am - 16:00pm

Overtime: Available During the week, 1.5 and one Saturday in four to be worked (BH paid at triple time)

Our HGV Welder/Fabricator play an important role in keeping our vehicles on the road, enabling us to deliver essential services. You will be part of one of the largest fleet teams.

What you'll be doing;
  • Welding repairs to Veolia Vehicle Fleet and associated equipment inc Mig, Tig, Arc
  • Gas cutting with Acetylene or Plasma
  • Fabrication of new components and vehicle-related equipment
  • Engineering and refurbishment of 40-yard containers
  • Completing job cards and time sheets to accurately record
    work completed and time taken
  • General repairs to the vehicle fleet
  • Other General work as required by the Workshop Management Team


What we're looking for;
  • City & Guilds, or NVQ in welding
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work to strict time control constraints
  • Forklift licence (Counterbalance)


Desirable;
  • HGV Licence
  • Machine operator for Guillotine, rolling machines and folding machines etc.
  • Knowledge of vehicle hydraulic systems
  • Heavy vehicle mechanical Knowledge
  • Strong & proven background in Welding to BS EN ISO 5817
