The Army Trials Unit is an organisation which trials equipment and vehicles across the Army. It is based out of 5 different locations with the headquarters in Bovington. Job description
The role of the Business Support Lead (BSL) is pivotal in managing and co-ordinating the business support functions across the Army Trials Unit. We are looking for a motivated and driven individual to join us. You will need to be organised, confident, forward thinking and a strong communicator (both verbally and written).The Business Support Lead (BSL) will be responsible for the management and co-ordination for business support for the ATU, including career management activity and will be the focal point and link to ETG Headquarters, Bovington Garrison and other organisations required.
As the BSL for ATU:
� You will manage all personnel matters ranging from career management, staff reporting and policy advice.
� You will lead on routine communication of key business information to all staff
� You will be intimately involved in organising and coordinating meetings, visits, travel and conferences.
� You will be the IT focal point, involving Local Security Officer duties

We are looking for a dynamic individual who can show initiative, can interact confidently with personnel at all levels and can work independently, as well as part of a team.It is essential that the BSL has:
� Experience and is confident using Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint and OneNote)
� Experience of a management role in a business setting
� Has strong communication and organisation skills
It is desirable that the BSL has:
� A working knowledge of military administration

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working.� This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.
External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.
