As a Finance Innovation & Automation Apprentice you will undertake a course of study alongside gaining lots of practical experience which will start you on a pathway to a career as a finance tech professional. You will work alongside our high-performing Finance Innovation & Automation Team, where you will gain practical experience that will set you on a pathway to a career in finance and automation. You will be directly involved in innovative projects, collaborating with various teams to identify and implement process improvements.

We also encourage all our colleagues to make an impact in their local communities, by giving them five fully paid days per year to volunteer, fundraise or do other charitable work through Sage Foundation.

Key Responsibilities

What will you gain exposure to?

This role will give you full visibility of the function to help you develop fundamental skills, knowledge and experience not just within our team but the wider organisation to help them build a successful future.

• Identify Automation Opportunities: Collaborate with finance teams to identify areas or financial processes that can be automated for improved efficiency and accuracy.
• Automation Implementation: Support the implementation of automation solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor the performance of automated processes, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancement through iterative updates and refinements.
• Governance: Ensure automation initiatives comply with Finance Automation standards and requirements.
• Service Desk: provide support and troubleshoot issues related to finance systems & automation. Act as a point of contact for end-users, assisting them with queries, resolving technical problems, and escalating complex issues as needed.
