Job Purpose :

Assist the Foreperson in managing operatives and resources in the delivery of 
front line Roads and Winter Maintenance services. Operation of road marking plant and associated duties as directed. Road and winter maintenance duties as directed. Driving and operating various LGV road and winter maintenance vehicles including snow ploughs / gritting vehicles. Operation of various road maintenance related plant and machinery. Work on a Highland wide basis (including overnight stays) with the potential to 
work in other Local Authority Areas.

Requirements

Driving Licence for LGV, Category C and C + E - If you’re successful in your application for the role and do not currently hold a LGV licence, retraining will involve training and a test for class two (light vehicles). Proven leadership experience. Experience or knowledge of road marking work. Experience and knowledge of road and winter maintenance work
