Job Purpose
The Procurement Officer supports the core functions and processes of the Procurement team. This role includes making purchase orders and stock transfer orders, updating records, and responding to order and invoice query issues.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist and support team in daily activities, including but not limited to Purchase Requisition and Order management and expediting for both material and services.
  2. Contribute to meeting all operational KPI’s in Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery performance.
  3. Identify and report cost saving initiatives and implementation.
  4. Support the management of non-conforming products, returns & credit notes and pending invoices.
  5. Attend meetings with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.
  6. Support business and operations with the drafting of key subcontracts.
  7. Assisting with requests and assessment of quotations from Suppliers.
  8. Ensure use of Supply Chain Finance across all major suppliers.
  9. Actively promote and champion the use of best practice to ensure compliance with the CIMIC Procurement Policy and procedures.
  10. Working with management teams in setting and reviewing the commercial framework for key areas of procurement.

Qualifications

  1. Completion of Secondary schooling preferred.
  2. Knowledge and practical experience of process management.
  3. Relevant experience of Materials and or production management.
  4. Knowledge of stock control, inventory and warranty systems and processes preferred.
  5. Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
