Quality Assurance Administrator- Fixed Term

Yeovil, United Kingdom Screwfix Direct Limited Full time
Overview

It's a great time to join Screwfix. Thanks to the hard work of our team and record-breaking sales, we're proud to be one of the fastest-growing retailers in the UK. And we want to pass that growth onto you.

Whether you're in procurement, digital, marketing or finance, there's a role here for you.

The QA Adminstrator provides support to the QA, Returns and Sustainability team.

You'll need to ensure that all administrative support and reporting for the QA function is completed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. Additionally, you may be called upon to complete ad-hoc and one-off, administrative tasks from time to time, supporting others in the team to get a task completed.

You'll find that you work across the function and so complete tasks relating to returns or to sustainability as well as to QA, and this may also involve communicating with other business functions such as Product Support, the Contact Centre, Finance, Commercial and Supply Chain. You'll need to be flexible and adaptable, able to organise and prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines.

This a Fixed Term position until end of November 2024.

We believe that a hybrid, flexible working approach offers you - and your colleagues - the best of both worlds. Face-to-face collaboration is an integral part of our warm, friendly culture, so you'll work from our head office three days a week, working flexibly around our core working hours of 10am-3pm. Beyond that, how, when and where you work is up to you. With a subsidised canteen, free parking and a comfortable, relaxed environment, we've worked hard to build an office you'll want to work in. We also know that, when it comes to school pick-ups and home deliveries, it's nice to have the flexibility to do both.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of many of the Quality Assurance data fields in the various systems used by QA (e.g. STEP, Jira, QMT, Excel, Coda, Oracle/OBI).
This will include such tasks as: -
  • Data entry, data checks and data validation.
  • Communicating with Screwfix suppliers to correct data errors.
  • Producing routine reports to given timescales.
  • Liaising with other teams within the department and other teams within Screwfix.
  • Raising purchase orders.
  • Ordering free stock for QA examination.
  • Carrying out special administrative tasks as designated by the QA Management.
  • Supporting the New Product Development and Continuous Improvement Teams as required.
  • Administration of returns and stock clearance activities:
  • Working with Wincanton Logistics and our 3PL's to manage correct stock points for clearance activity.
  • Develop key working relationships with Supply Chain, Marketing, TC Operations, QA, Vendors and third party providers.
  • Provide administrative support for clearance and return activities.
  • Be the first point of contact to assist and resolve Wincanton and iForce stock exit queries.
  • Communicate unresolved issues to the Returns and Stock Clearance Manager and assist with resolution where required.
  • Maintain and update clearance routes by SKU against company documents that identify their exit route.

Qualifications

  • Accurate, numerate and methodical, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent data analysis skills, adept at using Excel and able to combine and manipulate data from various sources.
  • Previous experience in data input and analysis would be extremely advantageous.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise and maintain workload to specific timescales to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Able to use own initiative and work as part of a team.
  • An effective communicator, able to communicate clearly and accurately byphone, email, face to face.
  • Working knowledge of Business Intelligence (Oracle Database) would be desirable but not critical
