We are seeking a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Consultancy in the Cambridge office serving the Oxford Milton Keynes and Cambridge regions. Established in 2011 the Cambridge office has grown to over 45 engineers and specialists contributing expertise in complex sectors such as Science Research and Healthcare. With a focus on collaboration we promote a vibrant and innovative culture offering hybrid working and a 9day fortnight. RequirementsWhat We Are Looking For
  • Excellent technical knowledge in Electrical Design Engineering and interdisciplinary design across all project stages.
  • Proficient in using standards and codes for building services.
  • Knowledge of Wiring Regulations Fire Detection Systems General and Emergency Lighting design.
  • Experience conducting MEP building services surveys with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to peer review with a strong understanding of regulatory and standards documentation.
  • Experience working on a variety of projects through different RIBA stages including existing buildings.
  • Ability to undertake essential calculations apply electrical theory and understand 3phase LV systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients project managers and contractors.
  • Previous consultancy experience appreciating the value of complementary specialisms such as acoustics and fire engineering.
  • Autonomous approach: able to lead small to medium projects and support large projects.
  • Chartered engineer or close to achieving it.
  • Strong mentoring and supervisory skills for junior staff members.
