Fair4All Finance is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to improve the financial well-being of people in financially vulnerable circumstances by increasing access to fair, affordable and appropriate financial products and services.
In the UK, it is estimated that 14.2 million people, or more than a quarter of all adults, have low financial resilience. The accumulative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis have further pushed already vulnerable populations into deeper trouble, including exclusion from mainstream financial products. It is well documented and recognised that these challenging circumstances are not experienced in the same way for everyone across the country. Fair4All Finance envisages a future society where the long-term financial well-being of all people is supported by a fair and accessible financial sector.
As a Non-Executive Director, you will bring to the Board perspectives and insights gained from your current and / or recent lived experience of financial exclusion. Through your contribution, you will have a significant impact on strategy, direction and decision-making, enabling Fair4All Finance to be more directly informed by the populations and communities they serve.
You do not need to have previous Board experience. What is important is that you are able to demonstrate a commitment to the mission and purpose of Fair4All Finance and an ability to engage constructively in strategic discussions, bringing your valuable personal experience and insight as it relates to financial exclusion.
It is anticipated that the time commitment for a Non-Executive Director will be in the region of one day a month.
