South Wolds is a high attaining, semi-rural- popular 11-18 school located in the village of Keyworth in Nottinghamshire which is only 6 miles from West Bridgford. We are also a founding partner of the East Midlands Education Trust, committed to providing a first class education for all of our students.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our outstanding team as Science Performance Leader. This is the perfect chance to develop your leadership skills in a supportive and collaborative environment while learning more from being in a high performing school and trust.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well qualified inspiring leader who will lead our science team. A specialism in Biology is desirable but not essential. Experience of teaching KS4 and KS5 is essential. This role is key to ensuring that we do all that we can to ensure that every child achieves their potential and develops a love of science. The successful candidate will receive a comprehensive welfare and induction package.

On the application form, please focus on a detailed 'supporting statement' taking into account the person specification and indicating why you would be the best person for us to recruit to this position.

Only applications submitted on the school’s application form will be considered. We do not accept applications through recruitment agencies.

Closing date: 21st May 8am

Interviews will take place week commencing 20th May 2024.

We reserve the right to interview suitable candidates prior to that date. Should this prove successful we may close to new applicants earlier so please don’t delay in submitting your application.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken during the recruitment process and this may include online searches.

We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.
