- Experience in utilising RMS or EMT simulation tools (preferably DIgSILENT PowerFactory or PSCAD).
- Good knowledge of application of power electronics-based devices in power systems (eg. HVDC, FACTS, wind farms, BESS, etc.).
- Experience building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to present technical information through reports and presentations.
- A combination of experience in Power Industry and Academia, as well as training delivery, would be advantageous
- Bachelor's degree, master's degree or PhD in power system engineering or a related field, as well as combined academic and industry experience.
What's in it for you?
- £58,900 to £74,000 + Benefits package + Training and Development.
- 26 days annual leave plus eight statutory days.
- The option to buy additional or sell holiday days.
- Generous contributory pension scheme - we will double-match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. Overall, 18%.
- Financial support to help cover the cost of professional membership subscriptions, course fees, books, exam fees and time off for study leave - so long as it's relevant to your role.
- Access to flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
- Family care benefits including a back-up care service for when your usual care arrangements fall through (six paid days each year as standard with the option to purchase further days).
- Access to apps which support health, fitness and wellbeing.
