What does a X do at Hillingdon?

Hillingdon is home to the Battle of Britain Bunker and Visitor Centre, a museum of international significance; as well as Ruislip Manor Farm Site, Eastcote House Gardens and the Local Studies Museum in Uxbridge.

The Development Manager works with the Museums and Heritage Manager to expand the commercial opportunities for historical sites in Hillingdon, forging relationships with businesses and organisations, introducing new income generation and funding, and promoting the service to the public. The postholder must be mindful of these publicly accessible heritage spaces. They also directly manage the Finance Administrator to ensure payments, refunds and orders are quickly and efficiently processed.

About you

You are adept at building effective relationships with internal and external partners to deepen commercial potential, funding streams and income generation. You are a creative thinker, able to work under pressure and not afraid to try new things while also being highly organised, adaptable and flexible. You will need to be a polished presenter and public speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
