The Role

About you

We are looking for a teaching assistant who has:

·          Experience in working with children from 3 – 7 year olds

·          Good organisational skills and is highly motivated

·          Level 2 or 3 qualification (or working towards)

We are looking for a teaching assistant who will:

·          Work under the direction of a class teacher to raise the learning and attainment of pupils

·          Be friendly, caring, hardworking and supportive with high expectations

·          Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion

·          Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement

·          Support the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aimed at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning

·          Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school’s policy and procedures

·          Organise and manage teaching space and resources to help maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment

·          Maintain confidentiality at all times

·          Safeguard pupil’s wellbeing and equality

·          Be resilient, positive, forward looking and enthusiastic about making a difference

·          Inspire, motivate and challenge children and young people

·          Work as part of a team to provide the best provision and learning activities for children in EYFS/KS1
