About the Service
Devon County Council have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Social Worker to join the Child and parent Assessment team (CPAT) within Children's Social Care. The key purpose of the role is to improve the outcomes for our most vulnerable young people and families in Devon to encourage positive change. Our Team Managers make a vital contribution to delivering high-quality social care services. About the Role
The Child and parent Assessment team (CPAT) are a specialist team who work within Devon Children's services to provide specialist assessments including the parent assess model, in both Child and Parent fostering placements and in the community. Working closely with experienced specialist family practitioners, CPAT foster carers and children's social workers you will support the parenting assessment work to enable early permanency decisions to be made for children. Parenting assessments are usually between 8-12 weeks duration and many of the families that we work with will be in pre proceedings or the court process.
Office base for the post is flexible due to this being a County wide service
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our supportive team to further develop your skills and experience in parenting assessment work. This post can be offered as a secondment opportunity. Please refer to the DCC secondment policy and discuss with your current manager if you are interested in a secondment.
