Job summary

We are looking for a Digital Manager to join us on an 18 month contract.

Reporting to the Senior Digital Manager,� you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running and optimisation of our website. You will also line manage a small team of digital content writers and lead the production of high quality digital content (including videos) for use across our website, blog and social media channels.�

Job description

As a key member of the team you will support the Senior Digital Manager to deliver our wider digital communications strategy and to deliver key digital projects.You will lead the day-to-day management and maintenance of our digital platforms and assets ensuring they are secure, smooth running, fully compliant and meet all expected quality standards.You will use tools such as Google Analytics to quality assure and monitor the performance of our website.�You will line manage a small team of content writers to produce high quality, accessible, user-centred content for use across our digital channels.You will use your own digital content skills and experience to produce content of your own and to up-skill your direct reports, continuously improving our content standards.You will assess and workflow digital content requests, knowing when to deliver as requested and when to use your expertise to sell in better and more effective solutions.You will proactively use data as well as stakeholder input to drive digital content plans.Supported by the Senior Digital Manager, you will develop a strategy for our social media channels.You will also act as a communications champion for one of our five regions.

Experience

Essential:

Extensive experience of managing websites using CMSSolid working knowledge of SEO optimisation and Google AnalyticsExperience of managing social media platforms and associated monitoring tools such as Hootsuite etcExperience of successfully collaborating with stakeholders to deliver digital activity across a wide range of activitiesExperience of copywriting and editing or producing digital contentExcellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

Experience of managing and developing staff.Video content and production skillsPhotography and image editing skills�

Technical

Essential:

Degree, and / or professional qualification relating to digital communications or digital marketing, and / or relevant experience.

Desirable:

Experience of working in and / or with the public / government sector; andMembership of a relevant professional body Chartered Institute of Marketing.
