Here within the @one Alliance we are a totally collaborative organisation made up of our eight partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO) and our extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme.
We are gearing up for our most exciting and challenging Asset Management Period yet, known as AMP8, this will see us deliver a programme of work larger than we've ever delivered before. We'll be embarking on a new kind of project delivery focusing on nature-based solutions like wetlands and urban drainage schemes.
We are driving change, empowering us to set global benchmarks and build a better environment, with the opportunity to offer enhanced growth and development to our workforce. We're looking to build on our existing teams with an environment built for career progression.
With such an exciting portfolio of projects planned for AMP8 to keep the water flowing across the region, our ability to manage our work and outperform against our customer's expectations will come under greater scrutiny.
And with a continued expectation to provide the highest standards of project design whilst ensuring we use innovation and creativity to deliver more with less, we are looking for several talented Process Engineers to join the team over the coming months to bolster engineering capabilities
Are you ready to join us as we prepare to deliver the most creative and innovative AMP we have ever seen?
What will you be doing as our new Process Engineer?
As our new Process Engineer, you'll work in collaboration with the project design team to arrive at appropriate process solutions adopting the principles of optimised plant performance, use of standard designs and following @one engineering design standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Undertake process design of Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants and/or sewerage/water systems that achieve the goals of Anglian Water in terms of customer, environment, and efficiency. Be responsible to produce technical deliverables required these include, but are not limited to:
- Technical schedules and data sheets.
- Engineering calculations (hydraulic calculations, pump calculations, mass balance calculation, RICS calculations, etc.).
- Particular specifications for engineering subcontracts.
- Working closely with the supply chain and performing technical bid analysis of their designs.
- Oversee key outputs including process calculations, hydraulics, unit processes, pump calculations, capacity calculations, data sheets and technical bid analysis of 3rd party process equipment.
- Communicate effectively at all relevant levels to ensure that the need to deliver technical excellence is understood and implemented.
- Escalate issues that may impact on time/cost/quality before they become problems or exceed agreed timescales.
- Support the drive towards excellence in H&S, demonstrating applied knowledge and skills to produce safe designs to discharge your obligation according to CDM Regulations, standards, and accepted codes of practice.
- Maintain close links with other Engineering teams to ensure smooth interfaces between disciplines; manage gaps/overlaps & share best practice.
A little bit about your skills, experience, and behaviours....
To join us on our exciting and challenging journey for engineering excellence, you'll be educated to degree level in water/wastewater process science/engineering related subject and have experience of process engineering in water/wastewater and biosolids treatment.
With strong communication skills, you'll have excellent stakeholder management skills and champion collaboration to tackle challenges and obstacles which could hinder our objective of outperformance. Demonstrating strong IT skills, you'll marry your technical and people skills to deliver the best process engineering facility to your stakeholders on a regular basis.
