Role description:

Our graduate GROW programme is a structured 3-year programme, designed to help you evolve and develop skills to become an experienced professional in your chosen field. You'll benefit from training and development, mentoring, and assistance for accreditations relevant to your programme, as well as the support and guidance you need to develop and succeed. As a GROW graduate you will be empowered to drive your career and will be exposed to a variety of experiences to assist you in gaining the skills you require to succeed.

As a specialist and science graduate joining GROW you will specialise from day one in your chosen discipline. Working in teams of consultants you'll be responsible for your own deliverables, liaising with clients, and given every opportunity to build your skillsets and technical expertise. You'll work on a range of environmental and planning projects which may include major infrastructure, urban regeneration and community focussed projects that will expose you to a variety of challenges and technical specialists.

Role accountabilities:

Geo-Environmental - As part of the multi-award-winning Site Evaluation and Restoration team you will undertake site-based ground investigations to determine the nature and quality of ground conditions for purposes including geological / geotechnical assessment, soil contamination and groundwater quality. This data will then be used to either inform design decisions or determine the need for environmental restoration, which would be designed, implemented, and validated to bring the site back into suitable use and protect the environment from harmful impacts. As a graduate, you will work as part of the project teams and undertake site work, including soil & groundwater sampling and site supervision, as well as desk-based research and report writing.

Accepted degrees: BSc in Geology, Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Science, Geophysics, Chemistry, Environmental Consultancy or similar.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • You will be graduating in 2025 or have recently graduated with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree
  • You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
  • You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
  • Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
  • Hold a full driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK
  • Comfortable with Site based working, when required for projects
