We are now recruiting for a hardworking and innovative Religious Studies Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a new or experienced teacher to join a successful and ambitious Religious Studies Department. This position is 1 FTE and suitable for ECTs.

Religious Studies is a popular, valued and respected part of Tiverton High School and you will be well-qualified with exceptional subject knowledge and teach across the age and ability range in our 11-16 co-educational school. 

This role requires you to have high expectations for yourself and students, excellent communication skills, and a commitment for continuous development. The Religious Studies department is a supportive, dedicated, and experienced team who work hard to uphold the highest of expectations and deliver stimulating lessons.

The purpose of your role will be:
• To be accountable, alongside the Subject Leader, for student progress and development in your classes;
• To help develop and maintain the scheme of work for all key stages while ensuring it complies with the Devon Agreed Syllabus, is varied and personalised, and is supplemented with a range of extra-curricular activities and opportunities;
• To ensure high standards of teaching and learning are established and maintained across the department;
• To help develop appropriate assessments across the key stages that are varied for all the needs of the students.
