About the opportunity
Working in Nuclear Decommissioning the successful candidate will join Jacobs' growing Cumbria office in the position of CS&A Engineer.
You will join the Civil, Structural and Architectural team on projects of varying scales and complexity where they will assist in the delivery of structural designs and analysis/ assessment studies in a multi-discipline environment.
You will address and resolve functional issues within a project through use of their technical capabilities and engineering judgement, applying their skills or generating innovative solutions as appropriate.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Technical quality and excellence of your work
- Communication with clients and other design team members to provide technical input and ensure successful integration
- Assist with the development and delivery of design documents and solutions including the production of calculations, drawings and supporting documents
- Adherence and contribution to business and quality management systems whilst developing a good safety culture
Here's what you'll need:
- Degree qualified in Civil/Structural engineering or demonstrable equivalent underpinning knowledge and understanding
- Good working knowledge of design with structural steelwork and reinforced concrete
- Experience with an appropriate structural analysis program (i.e. STAAD)
- Knowledge and use of BIM packages
