Beaucroft is expanding to accommodate more pupils throughout the school. Beaucroft College, a brand new Post 16 facility based in School Lane, Wimborne, which opened in June 2023. Beaucroft School, based in Wimborne Road, Colehill, will be adding two new classrooms in September 2023. These are exciting times for everyone involved with the school.

We are currently recruiting to expand our brilliant staff team and strengthening it further in all areas of the school and college. We are looking for an enthusiastic Midday Supervisor who will be based at either Wimborne or Colehill with a “can do” attitude. This is a fantastic time to join our wonderful Beaucroft team and play a part in this exciting development.

The role involves, ensuring the safety, general welfare and conduct of pupils during lunch as well as cleaning and other duties in and around the class and hall. You will join one of our departments, where you can really get to know the pupils and staff. This is a fantastic opportunity to get experience in our school if you are looking to become a TA. Many of our midday supervisors work extra hours supporting the teachers and TAs outside of their lunchtime hours.

The salary is based on Dorset Job Evaluation Grade 2, Spinal Column Point 2 to 3. The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position, at the time of advert, based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.

Beaucroft is a Foundation Special School that caters for children and young people between the ages of four and nineteen who are experiencing learning difficulties, including complex needs, and those with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Our pupils’ needs range vastly and we are dedicated to giving the very best education to the children that they deserve.

We will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
