Lancashire County Council provide catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day and we are looking for committed individuals to join the service
You will work as part of a team within the Lancashire area providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.
Key responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages Clean all equipment and catering areas Covering absence and sickness throughout the Lancashire area.What we are looking for:
Ability to work as part of a team Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative Good customer care skills Previous catering and food preparation experience would be desirable. Full driving License and access to a vehicle essentialWorking Hours/Days:
Monday to Friday Term time only 16.25 hours per week, although hours are variable depending upon school meal uptakeThe post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a 'disclosure'. Further information can be found on the 'Our Recruitment Process' tab.
You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.
