JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is recruiting for Project Quality Lead (contract) to support our clients team in Reading on a 6 month agency contract. This is a part time role working 2 days per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Quality Lead will be responsible for supporting the Clients Manager of Quality Assurance by:

  • Developing and verifying the delivery and implementation of the project quality goals, project quality plan
  • During FEED specialise in areas relating to engineering design, process control, product and software evaluation, systems performance, hardware performance product reliability, research and development, and administrative application
  • Providing oversight and verification through selective checks of Contractor processes and quality documents that the documents/records being produced for the project are complete, legible, endorsed by defined signatories, stored and retrievable
  • Develop quality requirements for purchase orders/Contracts. Review and evaluation of RFQ packages
  • Ensuring project processes, systems are in place, plans and performs routine surveillance and scheduled verification/compliance reviews of activities related to scope of work
  • Developing/reviewing audit, plans/schedules, lead and/or participate in the audit process, reporting audit findings, reviewing RCA (as applicable)| and ensuring timely closure
  • Completing trending analyses and recommending system, process improvements
  • Provide quality input during criticality rating and POQR development to engineering
  • Provide support to delivery team squad leads in implementing quality plans and SV&O
  • Provides quality performance indicator data to the Company quality manager
  • Visible leadership and commitment attend meetings and/or workshops, as required, to represent Company QA


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Significant recent experience in a similar position is required
  • Experience in Pre-FEED/FEED/EPC/IPMT/PMC organizations in the field of Refinery/Petrochemicals
  • In-depth knowledge of working to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 is required
  • Working knowledge of standards such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is desirable
  • Good working knowledge of PED, ATEX, ASME, ANSI and EU standards is desirable
  • On and Offshore experience is desirable
  • Experience in Carbon Capture and Hydrogen processes is desirable
  • Demonstrable qualification for planning, conducting and reporting internal and external audits from a recognised external body is preferable
  • Good communicator with excellent influencing, verbal and written skills
  • Self-motivated and prepared to take initiative
  • Good project management skills and good commercial awareness
  • Experience in Microsoft office applications
