The job itself

Beverley St Nicholas School is seeking a catering assistant to join our kitchen team. The position sits under the direct supervision of the cook in charge and supports cook in the day to day operation of our busy school kitchen.

Main duties include assisting in preparing the school meal, service, washing up and cleaning duties. Food safety standards, health and safety and safe methods of working much be adhered to.

Food hygiene qualification and knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements is desirable or the candidate must be willing to undertake the training courses identified by the cook.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who can work to a high standard in a fast paced environment. We are looking for friendly, approachable and reliable individual who is also flexible to ensure cover in the absence of colleagues.

Hours to be worked Monday to Friday, term time plus cleaning days.
