A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Charnwood working at our nursery in Heaton Moor, Stockport. Charnwood is a charitable trust with a strong Christian ethos that provides a fully inclusive nursery provision to Children aged 2 to 5.

Our new Business Manager will have excellent financial management and planning skills, look after HR for a staff of around 50, manage our nursery site and lead our fundraising initiatives., Experience in a similar role is essential.

The following skills are essential:

Relevant management / business related qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role
Highly effective organisation and time management skills and a strong attention to detail
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
A confidence in all aspects of Microsoft apps and other databases
Experience of managing financial systems including budgets, cost recovery, pricing, purchasing, planning and annual returns
An understanding of Personnel Management including Safer Recruitment, contracts and appointments, motivation and development of staff and sickness and performance management
Proven record of developing effective relationships with stakeholders and others and working effectively as part of a number of teams
Experience of managing staff from a variety of roles and carrying out supervisions, appraisals and performance management
An understanding of GDPR, information sharing and confidentiality and the implications on an organisation

A strong understanding of how to keep Children, Staff and Visitors safe
