�DIO Accommodation manages, maintains and allocates c48,000 Service Family Accommodation (SFA) properties in the UK. The provision of high-quality homes for Service Families, and consequently settled and secure family lives for Service personnel, contributes significantly to the MOD�s operational outputs. Where Defence accommodation stock cannot support demand, accommodation is sourced in the private rental sector through the Substitute Accommodation Contract, delivered by our Industry Partner, Mears.� The Contract Assurance Officer works within the Substitute Accommodation Team which manages and processes substitute accommodation applications, communicating the requirement to the Industry Partner.

�The DIO Contract Assurance Officer supports the Contract Assurance Manager in providing assurance and governance of the Substitute Accommodation Contract.�

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Job description

The DIO substitute accommodation contract assurance officer supports the Substitute Accommodation Team (SAT) in ensuring the practical governance of the substitute accommodation contract.� The tasks associated are:�

Using Microsoft products and data provided by the Industry Partner; produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reportsCarrying out assurance against Key Performance IndicatorsEnsure Industry Partner conforms to JSP 464Assist Assurance team with providing feedback on the performance of Industry Partner to senior management in monthly meetingsMonitoring and reviewing complaintsUploading contract payments onto the Contract Purchasing & Finance systemCompleting assurance checksRegular engagement with Industry Partner, key stakeholders and other teams within DIOAny other duties required appropriate to the grade

Alongside your salary of �24,040, Ministry of Defence contributes �6,490 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.

External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.
