The governors are seeking to employ a SENDCO, working Tuesday to Thursday (0.6 FTE) to join our dynamic and successful team at Ninelands Primary School. The post is to start in September 2024 ready for the new academic year and will incorporate an element of teaching. Our SENCO currently teaches for one hour per week although there may be times when a greater teaching commitment is necessary.

We are looking for an excellent practitioner who is passionate about teaching and learning, with the ability to further drive-up standards in relation to provision for SEND pupils. A highly able, dedicated and inspirational teacher who is excited to challenge and to embrace change Able to model exemplary classroom practice in an inclusive and nurturing manner, with high aspirations for all children Knowledgeable about effective teaching and learning and has a proven record of supporting and coaching staff to drive school improvement Will positively promote inclusion and have high expectations for all children.  Is willing to get fully involved in all aspects of school life.  Works effectively as part of a team and enjoys collaboration with colleagues.  Is excellent at creating inspirational and exciting learning spaces, in and out of the classroom.  Is able to work with he senior leadership team to play a key role in the development and implementation of the School Improvement Plan with a particular focus on developing provision for SEND learners
