Senior BIM Technician

AECOM’s Interior Design + Strategy Studio is growing, and we are hiring a BIM Technician to join our talented team of Designers, Workplace Strategists, Change Makers and Design Thinkers. The role will be to work closely with the design team, who are responsible for producing project information models
Duties
- Support design team to setup and managing projects at a BIM level.
- Support the design team producing technical packages.
- Ensure the team is adhering to the latest industry standards.
- Supporting and auditing the project team and flagging non-compliances.
- BIM collaboration platforms - to federate BIM models and data into a single collaborative cloud environment that allows architects, engineers, surveyors, builders, maintainers, and owners to work together.
- Ensure staff have access to the tools and equipment they need.
- Knowledge of BIM Management software to manage workflows and collaborative work roles such as BIM360.
- Training or upskilling colleagues in specific software programmes.
- Leading meetings to identify project tasks and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with our internal digital strategy team.
- Have an Industry recognised diploma or degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture
- Able to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion
- Able to integrate design requirements with architecture
- Able to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project, minimum requires as noted above
- Strong Knowledge of design trends and market influences
- Proficient in Autocad /REVIT
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
- Flexible and open attitude towards ways of working and commitment to independent, lifelong learning
- Responsible, self-assured, motivated and able to take responsibility
- Willingness to listen and learn from all members of the team
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team
- Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
- Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure
