Claire’s School Solutions are currently recruiting for a part-time teaching assistant to work in a school in the Ripley area. Starting from September, you will be working 1-1 with a year 5 pupil with SEN, therefore SEN experience is required. There may be some personal care. You will be working Thursdays and Fridays, and the role is ongoing. This lovely school’s recent OFSTED report quotes a staff member who said, 'I have never felt more supported’.
As a teaching assistant you must have a positive mind-set and will have strong engagement abilities to support the development of the student. You will show reliability, good teamwork, flexibility, adaptability and commitment to working. You will also need to be able to build a rapport with the student.
It is essential to have:
- Previous experience working with children.
- Experience working with SEND children.
- Have an understanding of safeguarding.
- A passion for working and supporting children's learning.
- Previous UK experience working in a Primary School environment.
- Strong communication skills that can be demonstrated by an ability to build relationships with other professionals.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
