Data Loss Prevention - Operations Lead

As a Barclays Data Loss Prevention (DLP) - Operations Lead, you will support the Cyber Operations Director in implementing and maintaining a series of controls designed to mitigate risks to Barclay's systems, brand and profitability from data leakage. You will be responsible for leading a team who will monitor; profile and evaluate Barclay's organizational functions for vulnerabilities, including mechanical vulnerabilities, business process gaps and human/behavioural actions leading to data security risk.

What will you be doing?
• Managing analytic activities to assemble, correlate, evaluate and assess information concerning data leakage threats against Barclay's infrastructure, information and assets
• Aiding in the development and implementation of controls to deliver the services provided to meet or exceed industry good practice and anticipate business growth and requirements
• Developing and implementing controls and indicators for preventing, detecting, and responding to DLP incidents
• Developing and managing DLP rules and policies
• Performing data security forecasts and threat alerts with recommended countermeasures
• Providing content and updates for various strategic and operational management reports in partnership with CSO team
• Ensuring that the DLP Service function maintains regulatory compliance and is able to fulfil its security obligations to internal stakeholders, external customers and appropriate authorities
• Creating and updating data security roadmaps, operating models, and run books

What we're looking for:
• Experience in developing a range of strategies and programmes to prevent, detect and mitigate, and respond to DLP threats
• Experience operating within a Governance framework, ensuring compliance with polices and standards
• Technical experience using data security tools
• Ability to identify operational risks and issues in a fast time environment and take proportionate and appropriate actions and to lead and direct a multi-disciplinary team

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Demonstrated understanding of the cybersecurity landscape in terms of vulnerabilities, response and mitigation strategies
• Understanding of Legal and Privacy issues related to data protection
• Experience of working within a regulatory/controlled environment
• Confident, with the ability to remain calm, controlled and focused in pressure situations

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
