About the apprenticeship

Duties

Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to all safe working practices.
Assist experienced machinists in operating and setting up CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other machining equipment.
Learn to read and interpret technical drawings.
Understand and apply basic machining principles and practices.
Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
Document and record production data as required.
Attend college to achieve qualifications as part of the apprenticeship programme.

Requirements

Qualifications

Either attended college full time for the PE02 Engineering or achieved A Levels and has an interest in a career in machining, manufacturing, and mechanical work.

Wall Colmonoy will support training and development, up to Degree level study for the right candidate.

Day release and fully funded studies available for the successful candidate.
Strong teamwork skills.
Strong interest in machining, manufacturing, and mechanical work.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced machinists.
Good Maths (ideally GCSE grade C as a minimum), IT and Communication skills.
Ability to problem solve.
Good Health and Safety principles
