Post Title: Youth and Participation Team Manager

Team: Family Resource

We are excited to recruit to the role of Youth and Participation Team Manager within the Family Resource Service of the Council’s Early Help and Social Care Division. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in ensuring the young people of Bury have access to safe spaces, informal social and political education, meaningful early intervention support and their voices are heard.

We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate strong effective leadership and has a passion for driving forward services that support and empower young people. The post sits within the management team of the Family Resource Service, with the post holder working alongside Team Mangers to compliment and strengthen the overall offer for families in Bury. The role includes the line management responsibilities of operational members of staff and volunteers, offering a diverse service with multiple priorities.

The successful candidate will need to have an excellent understanding of the issues that affect young people and youth work strategies to improve the outcomes for young people. You will have a pivotal role, leading on the vision of how the service will grow and respond to reform and strengthening the ethos of co-production across the partnership. You must be dynamic, highly motivated, and skilled to ensure the effective delivery of youth services across the borough and have experience of working with multiple stakeholders on shared priorities.

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week.
