Horizon School seeks to appoint a KS2 Teacher at our lower school site in Lowestoft, to start as soon as possible.

Horizon School is a two-site Pupil Referral Unit (KS1 – KS4 site and Tier 4 In-patient Youth and Adolescent CAMHS) in North Suffolk. Children come to Horizon School for intervention when they require support in managing their behaviour. This can often be at a point of personal crisis or where their underlying needs haven’t yet been identified, which therefore creates a barrier to them accessing mainstream education.

The Role

Teaching a class of 8 KS2 students with a primary need for SEMH. All students at our Lower school come to Horizon School for a 2 term placement whilst being dual registered with their mainstream school. All students have a Personalised Action Plan and a Regulation Support Profile to support the teacher to adapt learning and remove or manage any barriers to learning. 

Horizon School Management Committee value the importance of Continuing Professional Development and will support you with completing any training necessary to fulfil their role and career development.
