Salary: £35,.00 - £43,.00 per annum pro rata ( pay award pending – current offer additional £3.5K per annum pro rata)

Actual salary: £21,.00 – 26,.20 per annum

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with current Hairdressing and Barbering skills keen to share their expertise. To apply you must have a Level 3 (SCQF level 6) in Hairdressing or equivalent qualification, together with current industry experience in this subject area. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, together with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with students and colleagues, which is also a key aspect of this position.

 Experience of teaching is not essential but you will be contracted to obtain TQFE (Teaching Qualification in Further Education) once employment has commenced if you do not already hold a relevant teaching qualification. 

In order for you to be accepted onto a TQFE programme you may need to complete a further qualification (the details of the particular qualification will be confirmed in due course) which will either be in-house, or with an external provider. This will delay your entry onto TQFE however, this will not impact your employment

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a Level 3 (SCQF level 6) in Hairdressing, minimum of 3 years industry experience with evidence of current and up to date CPD Up to date experience in Hairdressing and Barbering * Teaching or training experience * Teaching qualification (TQFE or equivalent) * Assessment experience * Assessment qualification * ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) * GTC registration
