Early Help Advisor
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of Norfolk County Council’s dedicated link into the new Family Hub arrangements for Norfolk.
You will be working alongside local partners, district community programmes and initiatives to support the needs of families with an age range of 0-19 and up to 25 for those with Special Educational Needs.
As an Early Help Advisor, you will triage and provide information, advice and guidance on a wide range of services, meeting face to face with families at locations across our district, managing on-line requests for support, providing telephone responses.
You will liaise with internal and external partners to support families ensuring that the right support from the right source is provided to meet the family’s needs.
You will be a key part of our prevention and early help workforce promoting and supporting the development and safeguarding of children, young people and families so you will need to have a good understanding of the Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership Continuum of need guide.
Excellent face to face communication skills will be essential to the role.
You will need to be able to travel for work and operate from a range of locations across the district working alongside partner agencies and families.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check to assess the suitability of candidates to work with children or other vulnerable groups.
