Job Description
What is the role?
You will be an integral member of a team based within South Ayrshire education settings to support families and young people underpinned by the principles of the Promise and South Ayrshire Family First Model. It will be your role to support and assist children and families who may need additional service provision within the family home or school environment to promote safety and wellbeing. You will oversee whole family plans to build cohesion and confidence in families. At the heart of these plans will be relationship-based approach that identifies what the service can do to initiate the greatest change for young people and families. As part of this you will undertake tailored targeted support on individual and group format to promote individual and group success, building key relationships while utilising positive role modelling. This will include working in partnership with key agencies to ensure that our families receive support as early as possible to make the task of parenting and transition through adolescences easier.
You will work with a range of partners within the South Ayrshire Council to build family capital and contribute to the Strategic Outcomes of South Ayrshires Childrens Services Plan and Family First Model.

The Grade of this post is Grade 3 / Level 10, the hourly rate is from £23.07 to £24.26 and the annual salary is from £42, to £44,.
Hybrid Flexible working pattern (8am - 7pm) Normal working hours Monday to Thursday 08:45 to 16:45 Friday 08:45 to 16:00 This post covers all of South Ayrshire Council.
This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act . Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
